About the event
In this foraging tour, I'll teach you to identify and use 15 edible and medicinal southeastern plants, including wild spinach, comfrey, dock, and many many more. Sessions are 2.5 hours long with intimate group sizes of ten people maximum to promote a personal learning experience. Â
Enjoy a wild edibles picnic at the end of the tour, featuring three dishes and four herbal teas of plants discussed during the tour. All foods and teas are sourced from certified food retailers and cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and paleo diets for your tasting pleasure. Â
Explore the historic and scenic Lake Claire Land Trust. Feed the chickens and ducks. Experience the very special land trust model as a means of preserving community greenspace for future generations. Â

Tickets: Each class is filled to its limit on a first-come-first-serve basis. Classes are 10 people maximum. Tickets are $65/ person. You can send payment via venmo to @morgan-strickland. 10% of proceeds go to the Lake Claire Land Trust. Â
Location: Lake Claire Land Trust 270 Arizona Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307 We'll begin the course by meeting at the corner of Nelms Avenue and Dekalb Avenue at the chicken coop. Â
Parking: You can find free parking along Nelms Ave or Arizona Ave or any of the adjacent residential streets. Â
Useful Items: Long Sleeves/ Pants, Closed Toe Shoes, Water, Notebook/Pencil, Sun protection, Bug repellent Â
Weather Policy: If there is a serious storm or other natural disaster, we will cancel class and I will send a refund. If it's a light rain then class will continue as usual with umbrella and rain jackets. Â
Cancellation Policy: If you can’t attend the event, please get in touch as soon as possible. I am happy to offer a full refund if you cancel 7 days in advance. Otherwise, I will offer a 50% refund of the total ticket price with 24 hour cancellation notice and 0% refund for anything less than 24hrs.
