Woodland Foraging Tour & Tea Time

Learn native woodland foods and medicines while enjoying foraged yaupon tea and acorn cookies.


Event Details:

Be empowered in your pursuit of greater self-sufficiency by learning the historical, edible, and medicinal uses of over 15 southeastern woodland plants. We will also discuss land stewardship, plant identification, and basic botany. We will end the tour with snacks and tea using native plants that we discuss during the tour. Each 2.5 hour tour is filled to its limit on a first-come-first-serve basis. Classes are 16 people maximum. Registration will be considered complete once payment is received. Tickets for the education tour and teatime are $40/ person. Or use the code WoodlandTourOnly at checkout for $25/person tickets to skip the teatime and just attend the educational tour. 15% of proceeds go to the Woodlands Garden non-profit. Dates: June 8th 10am-12:30pm July 6th 10am-12pm Aug 10th 10am-12pm Sept 28th 2-4:30pm Oct 26th 2-4:30pm Location: Woodlands Garden 932 Scott Blvd, Decatur, GA 30030 We'll meet by the parking lot at the top of the asphalt path. Parking: Lot on Site. Accessible parking & restrooms on-site. Useful Items: Long Sleeves/ Pants, Closed Toe Shoes, Water, Notebook/Pencil, Sun protection, Bug repellent Weather Policy: If there is a storm or other natural disaster, we will cancel class and I will send a refund . Cancellation Policy: If you can’t attend the event, please get in touch as soon as possible. I am happy to offer a full refund if you cancel 7 days in advance. Otherwise, I will offer a 50% refund of the total ticket price with 24 hour cancellation notice and 0% refund for anything less than 24hrs.
