No website, social media, or course content should be considered health advice. You are responsible for consulting a medical professional before trying any new herb or remedy mentioned in the guided tour, course, event, website or any related forum.

The content on our website and in our courses/ guided nature walks are for educational purposes only. Although we try our utmost to provide useful and accurate information, you are responsible to research and verify information before relying on it. We are trained herbalists and not licensed or registered healthcare practitioners. We cannot diagnose health conditions, nor prescribe medicines legally; we are not medical doctors.

The information we provide is not intended to be a substitute for medical treatment. Please consult your medical care provider before using herbal medicine, particularly if you have a known medical condition or if you are pregnant or nursing.
You are responsible for your own health. As with conventional medicine, herbal medicine is vast and complex, and must be used responsibly. People react differently to different remedies. Some herbs are contraindicated with certain pharmaceutical drugs. Further, some helpful herbs may be confused with harmful and/or deadly substances.

There are many plants and mushrooms that can make you sick, or are deadly poisonous. It is your responsibility to be 100% positive of your identification before you harvest any plant or fungi. Additionally, new foods, even properly identified, can cause an unusual reaction – ranging from gastric intolerance to a full-blown allergy. It is your responsibility to make sure you are harvesting the correct plant or mushroom and it is your choice to try any new food. We cannot be responsible for incorrect identification or reactions to plants or fungi. We will carry a first aid kit containing benadryl on hand, but it is your responsibility to carry any necessary medical aids and take any necessary safety precautions (inhalers, medications, epipens, proper clothing, etc). Many of our courses are held outside with potential exposure to allergens, insects, and snakes. It is your responsibility to be attentive and proceed cautiously when in the unpredictable and potentially dangerous environment of the outdoors. We will do our best to guide and provide a safe learning environment.

You are responsible for your own choices. This includes but is not limited to the ingestion, application, or other use of alcohol or any poisonous, toxic, or allergenic substance. Flourish & Flora LLC accepts no liability relating to or arising from your activities. Flourish & Flora LLC cannot predict how a remedy will work for you. Always refer to your medical care provider for questions about your health.

Release and Waiver Disclaimer
This Release and Waiver of Liability (this "Release") is in favor of the Woodlands Garden of Decatur, Inc. (“Woodlands”) and its directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively with Woodlands, the "Released Parties"). This includes Flourish & Flora LLC.
The undersigned desires to engage in activities related to a program at the Woodlands Garden, located at 932 Scott Boulevard, Decatur, Georgia 30030 (the “Program”). The undersigned hereby freely and voluntarily, without duress, executes this Release under the following terms:
1. Waiver and Release. The undersigned releases and forever discharges and holds harmless the Released Parties and their successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my participation for the Program. I understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges the Released Parties from any liability or claim that I and any minor for whom I have responsibility may have against the Released Parties with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may arise out of, or result from, my or their participation in the Program.
2. Insurance. The undersigned acknowledges that the Released Parties do not assume any responsibility for, or obligation to provide, financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance, in the event of injury, illness, death, or property damage. The undersigned expressly waives any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of the Released Parties in the event of such injury, illness, death, or property damage.
3. Medical Treatment. The undersigned hereby releases and forever discharges the Released Parties from any claim whatsoever that arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first-aid treatment or other medical services rendered by any of such Released Parties or their representatives as the result of an injury or illness to the undersigned or any minor for whom the undersigned has responsibility arising out of, or resulting from, the undersigned’s or such minor’s participation in the Program.
4. Assumption of Risk. The undersigned understands that my participation on the Program may include activities that may pose a risk of injury or death to me or any minor for whom I may have responsibility, including, but not limited to, construction activities, slip and falls, cuts and abrasions, being hit by falling branches or trees, poison ivy or other adverse reactions to vegetation, animal bites, and local transportation to and from the Program. Also the undersigned recognizes and understands that my participation in the Program may, in some situations, involve inherently dangerous activities. The undersigned hereby expressly assumes the risk of injury or harm in these activities and releases the Released Parties from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage arising out of, or resulting from, activities that are part of the Program.
5. Photographic Release. The undersigned grants and conveys unto Woodlands all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by the Released Parties or others during my participation in the Program.
6. Other. The undersigned expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Georgia and the United States of America, and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia. The undersigned agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release, which shall continue to be enforceable.
